Should you see this movie, well if you like the X-men movies, yes. I you didn't like the x-men movies but are a X-men fan, Yes, you should see it, this movie is far better than the rest of these movies. Marvel made the best movie to fix the X-menverse with.
The movie opens with a bunch of mutants under attack by the evil sentinels, okay I know who most of these of mutants are, but who the fuck is this?
Sunspot, never heard of him. Anywho, it turns out Kitty Pryde has the ability to send a person's mind back into their past bodies. In the original comic story, Kitty was sent to the past into her younger self, but in this version, Wolverine is sent back to prevent the murder of Sentinal creator, Bolivar Trask. Why Wolverine, well the story reason is that Wolverine's healing factor makes him able to survive the trip, but let's be honest, the reason is star power.
Anyway because of the whole time travel thing, Wolverine doesn't have his adamantium claws, but bone ones...
And it gives a chance for shit tons of killing off characters, because Time Travel, dude Storm gets shived like a bitch!
Anyway, Wolverine has to convince Charles Xavier's younger self to help him and Charles is massively depressed as well as breaking out Magneto from the Pentagon. This causes them to hire Quicksilver, a cocky teenage thief with superspeed and this leads to my favourite scene in the movie:
You see... Basically the movie is about the battle for Mystique's soul, as Magneto goes about his usual plans of mutant domination, I guess some people never learn. But I don't want to spoil too much of the movie, but what this film does is basically rewrite the timeline meaning none of the old movies ever happened, which means this never happened...
And this...
Seriously this movie is the shot in the arm the franchise needed and with Xmen First Class these are astounding superhero movies and do you realise how rare that actually is, so yeah get yo ass to the cinema and watch this movie. Plus you've got Jennifer Lawrence naked and blue as mystique, so you can always watch it for that.
Whoa that dude is seeing the goods, talk about a pleasant dream when he gets knocked out cold. I'm The Joel MH signing off.
