Kung Fu Panda: The Videogame

Oh god the horrors....

Okay so where do I start, Story... well it's the same as the movie as are the characters and I'm not going to spoil those as the movie is something you should totally watch. So too is the art style. So how does it play.
Well the game is a platformer with kung fu action. Of course platforming with an overweight panda isn't the easiest, but it's not that bad. You can upgrade skills by spending money you pick up as well as costumes. Po can do the usual punch and kicks but can also roll as a ball at high speed causing mass destruction and quake attacks which drain Chi energy which you get for beating enemies.

There are 13 levels in total and 3 difficulty settings, the downside is that, achievements for the game require the side missions to be completed such as finding items, not letting certain things be destroyed or stolen etc.Of course you don't just play as Po, other characters are playable such as Tigress, Shifu, Crane and Monkey. Though you do play as Mantis and Viper once in a QTE (SIGH). Yes this game has tons of QTEs, because those are cool.
Anyway Tigress is a hell of a lot faster than P, attacks and movement and she runs on all fours, she's only playable in a boss, well and the smash bros like multiplayer, which I'll get into later.
Crane is completely different as he is involved in flying segments where he spins to attack approaching objects, sort of like Starfox without blasters.
Monkey's gameplay is platformer combat like Po and Tigress, but he is much agile allowing furthur jumps like a monkey. While Shifu, well all the other characters share levels with Po, while this is the same for Shifu, Shifu gets two levels to himself and his combat is rather different, he is much smaller but his attacks are super fast leaping on enemy heads and has the ability to jump off clouds like springboards. The enemies that you encounter do change quite often so they never get repetitive either which is more than can be said for movie games.
As well as the storymode there is a multiplayer mode which has mini games and smash bros style fighting, but with health bars, these aren't too bad, in fact, this for a movie game is actually very very good.

Yeah well, had to some point, you know watching that video of nut shots and pretending they are all Tim Westwood.
But there is a good movie game, Iohel, there is something I need to show you, something that I have only ever shown to Minchy. This scroll contains a list of the good movie license games. It has been passed down by my ancestors since 1997.
I shall now add this game to the list of the allmighty movie games that did not suck balls, bare witness to it's majesty as you may never see it again.
