Sonic Fangame Theatre

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Tonight we present to you three examples of fan games of the Sonic franchise, games that far exceed the general works of SEGA.

Just lovely. So without further a do, here are tonight's fan games.

1. The S Factor

So first up we have a Sonic 1 hack where you don't play as Sonic at all. First up we have Silver the Hedgehog. He plays basically how you'd imagine him to play except not as sucky as Sonic 06.

The other main character is Sonia the Hedgehog. If it sounds familiar it should, she was one of the main characters from Sonic Underground... yeah that sucky cartoon.

Okay I diss the show, but you cannot argue with that theme song, it's glorious, alright back to the game. Sonia controls much like Sonic except her spin dash is more a pirouette dash and she can double jump doing a pirouette. And no I didn't have to google that word.

The other playable character is Scourge the Hedgehog who plays exactly like Sonic including a homing attack.

Who is Scourge, well get comfortable...

Basically he's an evil Sonic from a parallel world and he turned green when absorbed a shit ton of chaos emerald energy and he's kind of a douche. So basically the story here is the same shit as always stop Dr Robotnik and gather the chaos emeralds... oh I'm sorry Dr. Eggman Nega... hold this bugs the shit out of me...

How do you Nega something that is already Negative, is he like double negative, what the fuck SEGA do you even understand words?
Now this game is still in production, but we have so far is pretty awesome, bosses have multiple forms, the levels are much harder and the special stages are levels where you have to meet a mission criteria when you beat the level to gain the emerald, be it collect 50 rings, destroy 5 enemies etc.

So basically yeah, should you download this game... hell yes... you won't be sorry.

2. Sally Acorn in Sonic 1

Basically it's just the original Sonic game but you play as Sally Acorn using her handheld computer to shock enemies destroying them.

Who is Sally Acorn, well if you haven't read the Archie Comics or watched the tv show in the nineties which I don't happen to own on DVD.

Basically Sally Acorn is the princess of Mobius, the world which Sonic inhabits and she's been kicked out of her palace, her father is missing and so she is the rightful heir except that Robotnik and his army have taken over. Good thing Sally is tech smart with her handheld mini computer Nicole, which you use in the game. Also she's basically naked.

Yeah and this bring's me onto a point that's always bugged the crap out of me with the Sonic franchise. Why do the girls where clothes but the guys don't. It's okay for males to run around with their dicks hanging out but girl's better cover that shit up and no I'm not saying this to see Amy Rose naked, I wouldn't be saying this if all the male characters wore clothes, all I'm looking for is some consistency here guys.
Also there is a Sally Acorn in Sonic 2 and again it's Sonic 2 but you play Sally exactly as you do in Sally Acorn in Sonic 1.

3. Sonic XL

Okay this game is hilarious. You see those rings, those aren't gold rings, those are onion rings, while they do protect you from damage, with enough rings you pick up, Sonic gets fatter and slower.

So you pick and choose how you grab the rings, you have to plan and only grab a few at a time to make your way through the game or do you aim for 50 to get a chaos emerald stage, risking taking damage and then collecting them again to get fatter and fatter. Okay one more fangame,

4. Blue Spheres Forever

You remember the special stages from Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles where you had to get all the blue spheres red while avoiding red ones. Well the creator of this fangame loved the balls so much that he made a whole game about it. Wow he loves balls more than Tom Brady. BOOM OUT OF THE PARK! But seriously that's all this is and personally I hated those special stages but I accept that some people really loved them.

Well that was the Sonic Fangame Theatre and this is the end of Sonic Month... what you want me to talk about Sonic Boom... why it isn't a Sonic game, it's a pile of wank so bad that it makes me forgive Sonic 06 for it's failings and everybody fucking knows it, though I will say one thing, where's the Bunnie Rabbot Fangame?

So come on you gave Sally one but not the cyborg southern belle rabbit, huh, why not, come on internet. I'm The Joel MH and next time, we go back to normal, with a game that started a hit franchise but not in a good way.
