The following rant contains spoilers for Taken 3, if you do not wish to be spoiled, DO NOT READ! Are you still here, okay so let's begin...
Okay so all of the advertisement showed that Taken 3 would be the end of the story started by Taken, the family of the Taken villains would frame Brian for his wife's murder.... nope. It's all a convolulted plot by Lenore's new husband to get his wife's life insurance money. It Ends here... how is this an epic climax to the series, especially since Taken 2 was like, you beat the badguys but they'll just send more until either Brian dies or that whole family does and they don't do anything with that. It ends here... bullshit... it ended with Taken 2. Okay I don't hate the movie... far from it, but it's a total bait and switch with it's villain, I mean it was the stepdad, who is now played by a much younger actor who looks NOTHING like him by the way. How does that work, that'd be like I was suddenly played by Jaden Smith. I mean the plot overall is a rip off of the fugitive except Liam Neeson kills fuckers and beats up cops unlike Harrison Ford. Another problem with it is that while Taken 1 and 2 were famous for being almost realistic action movies, but Taken 3, his car blows up and you don't see him move from behind the wheel and next moment, "Hi I'm not even slightly hurt", what is this Looney Tunes? Taken 1 and 2, Brian Mills was awesome but MORTAL, Taken 3, he can't fucking die and that worked well for Die Another Day when bond outran a fucking tsunami and laserbeam from space. So yeah Taken 3 easily the weakest of the trilogy, but still it's worth watching even if there is a shit ton of issues.
