Shadow the Hedgehog

So the final game of Sonic Month is Shadow the Hedgehog. So Sonic is a happy colourful child friendly series. So Shadow the Hedgehog does whatever it can to not be that.
So Plot wise, Shadow is wandering around trying to recover his lost memories.
When suddenly aliens attack and the leader of the aliens comes to Shadow saying that he is his servant and that he must recover the chaos emeralds. So Shadow must make a choice, side with his master, side with Sonic and humanity or choose his own path in his quest to recover his memories and fight Robotnik and his army of Shadow Androids.

This happens in the occur of missions, for example in the first level, you can make it to the end to go to neutral level 2 or help Sonic kill aliens for good level 2 or kill soldiers for evil level 2. But again I'm ignoring the elephant in the room. Hi Reggie.... where the fuck is Reggie?
Anyway Shadow says Damn a lot especially when he dies, it's light swearing, but swearing the same.
Okay it's the inclusion of guns.
Shadow gets to use firearms, both human and alien, the downside, no aiming mechanic. Um... here's the thing about guns, if you don't aim, you shoot like this.
You see... not that the gun designs are any better...
Some of these gun designs, alien ones anyone look terrible, I mean the Satellite laser looks like a baby xenomorph for fuck's sake. Bosses this time have a little more effort than heroes but not much as a typical playthrough will have you fight no more than 2 bosses and some of them repeat through routes of the good, evil neutral chart.
Another issue is the inclusion of vehicles. Okay there are sections in the game where you need to superjump and only GUN mechs will do this but are clunky and slow and let me say something SEGA something you keep forgetting....
SONIC GAMES ARE ABOUT MOTHERFUCKING SPEED, RUNNING FAST FROM END TO THE OTHER NOT SLOW JUMPING MECHS!!!!
And cars and motorcycles... okay Shadow on a motorcycle carrying a gun might look cool, but when he's slower and harder to control it's a bad motherfucking idea people.
Oh and did you know there is multiplayer... yeah a 2nd player can take minor control over the a.i. that gives you missions in the level...
Okay there is a genuine multiplayer mode. It's a shoot em up arena, where Shadow fights Shadow Androids... again... no aiming system.
Oh and there is also a final story that unlocks once you complete all the possible story endings... so that's...
10 Playthroughs, all those little dots at the end of the level selects... those are final bosses with different endings, to then play the true final ending which means the others are all bullshit. So overall how do I rate this game.... well...
shit. No seriously it's garbage, they tried to darken a kid friendly series whilst keeping the 4kids cast present so it fails as a kid's game and an adult game and as a third person shooter it's broken and as a Sonic game it's broken, all round, it's broken. Okay next time, we have our final review of Sonic Month, and that is.....
SONIC FAN GAME THEATRE!! I'm The Joel MH signing off.
