Christmas 2014: A Pokemon Fangames Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, except for a grouchy fat mouse.

The Fangames were downloaded on the pc with care,
In hopes that Pika MH soon would be there.

Pokemon AshGrey
You guys remember Pokemon Yellow, the game that let you use Pikachu as your starter like the cartoon and occasionally fight Team Rocket's Jesse and James, well imagine that but actually following the anime. Yep this is a firered hack that actually does what yellow was supposed to do.
So to make it more like the anime, the routes have been extended to match the show as let's face it, Viridian Forest lasted way longer in the anime then it did for the rest of us.
There is of course different ways to play from the anime as Ash never faced the Elite Four which you can and the gyms are the same except for Giovanni being replaced with Jesse and James. Though with the Elite Four their levels are quite high at level 80. But gameplay wise as it's a hack of FireRed isn't much different just harder at the end.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And Pika MH with his fangames of plenty

Had just finished one of three fangames... not twenty.
Pokemon Skeetendo Christmas
A Pokemon Gold hack where everything is covered in snow and well it's Pokemon gold, but oh look some water is frozen over and you have to slide across like Ice Path. Okay there are some differences, your rival doesn't steal his starter, rather has a marill no matter what, or Team Rocket is no longer in Slowpoke's well as that's frozen up and are instead stealing presents from Delibirds as well as an extra rock gym in Goldenrod where the prize is not a badge but Kabuto or Omanyte.
Lorelai replaced Will in the Elite four, this time with an Articuno and in referencing to the movie you can catch Lugia after gathering three coloured orbs after catching or defeating the legendary birds.

Oh and when you beat all 16 gyms you can catch Mewtwo in Cerulean cave instead of fighting Red and Mt. Silver, oh and Giovanni is back at Viridian Gym. Also some monsters that were not in this generation appear such as Leafeon and Glaceon and:
Weavile
Mamoswine
Snorunt
Glalie
Froslass
Snover
Abomasnow
Rotom
Zigzagoon
Linoone
Ralts
Kirlia
Gardevoir
Gallade
Relicanth
Luvdisc

So yeah quite a lot of differences yeah, and it's kinda actually really good. But that's the best we're gonna get.

He was chubby and plump, a right grumpy old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
WAIT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
My....Spleen....
Pokemon Island
Okay imagine a pokemon game with no gyms just a collosseum similar to the Pokemon Stadium games. To start with you can decide what your character looks like from 8 options.
You can customise the music.
You can use Mega Evolutions on Pokemon which there up to Generation 5 monsters without Mega Stones for some reason.
A stone and crown for evolving trade monsters and unova monsters earlier as a lot of them had high evolution levels to balance the game.
Oh and there's also charms which help catch pokemon easier and make repels work longer, and as you can probably already tell, fully detailed backgrounds.
You explore the island which by the way is the one from Pokemon Snap, by teleporting to find new monsters to raise for the collosseum. Though there is shops where you can buy those that you can't find wild as well as a trading station to trade for those again you can't catch. Oh and 9 starters to those from at the start from Johto, Sinnoh and Unova.
We also get 6 mini games similar to Super Training which increase your Pokemon's stats depending on the game.
And to make this fangame even better we even get back the Game Corner with slots, roulette and voltorb flip.
I mean could anything make this any better?
HOLY FUCKBALLS IT'S TRIPLE TRIAD!
Okay it's four by four rather than 3 by 3, but it's clearly Triple Triad. So okay these fan games haven't been too bad, I mean the last one has been fucking awesome. I guess not all Pokemon Fangames suck.

He sprang to his feet when he heard a sound, to an egg which cracked,
And away he flew despite the thinness he lacked.

But I heard him exclaim so,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
