My favourite Pokemon Gyms

Hi I'm The Joel MH, but you knew that, but today I'm here to talk about my favourite pokemon gyms, you all have your favourites, but rather than group them by type, I'm going to group them by gym position, i.e. best first gym, best second gym etc. By the way the Kanto League in Gold and Silver are classed as 1-8 as well, so let's get started.

Best First Gym:
Striaton Gym- Trio Badge- Grass/Fire/Water (Pokemon Black and White)
This gym teaches new players about type advantages and works like the rival system with the leader using the type good against your starter, good thing you got that monkey earlier.

Best Second Gym:
Virbank Gym- Toxic Badge- Poison (Black and White 2)
An underground bar with a stage for a rock band too play, this gym where take on the band to take on the leader just has a scott pilgrim flair that I just enjoy and this gym features the first voice artistry in the series. The first poison gym that I actually enjoyed as well.

Best Third Gym
Goldenrod Gym - Plain Badge- Normal (Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heart Gold/Soul Silver)
The infamous Whitney in her clefairy shaped gym of normal pokemon and that MILTANK! It was annoying, but it's probably the most difficult and most exciting to beat gym around, even if her types are now messed with the addition of fairy. Plus it's fun to make Whitney cry :)

Best Fourth Gym
Nimbasa City- Bolt Badge- Electric (Black and White 2)

The catwalk gym, hey don't look at me like that, stay away from the man cards. Elesa's gym has you walk down a catwalk with cheering crowds as you dominate her gym trainers to eventually fight her upon a stage with her team of electric pokemon, where one of which is fucking flying. This version is far better than that dumb roller coaster version.

Best Fifth Gym
Lumiose Gym- Voltage Badge- Electric (X/Y)
The fifth gym is also electric but it's in the Eiffel Tower and you scale answering questions like you're on a gameshow.
It's more of an advanced version of Blaine's gym from Red and Blue but it's still awesome and the leader does use my favourite electric type.

Best Sixth Gym
Laverre City- Fairy Badge- Fairy (X/Y)
This sixth gym introduces the new type Fairy but it's here for how the gym works. Similar to Sabrina's gym where you warp around, but I put it higher than Sabrina's for that creepy doll house feel, even if it's badge's name is lazy.

Best Seventh Gym
Anistar City- Psychic Badge- Psychic (X/Y)
The gym starts out as just a house, you go inside further and blame, you're in a whole new dimension, walking on see-through tiles orbiting a ball of light outshining the distortion world from Pokemon Platinum and the most original gym of them all, this Psychic gym is ace.

And lastly
Best Eighth Gym
Viridian City- Earth Badge- Mixed (Gold/Silver/Crystal)
Yes, the original version of Gary's gym, not the new one. But I hear you cry, it's got no gym leaders and it's made of Lego. Well that's because everything is awesome as is this confrontation. You take on Gary, one on one, no distractions or bullshit, in a rematch with you the trainer taking on your old rival from Gen 1 in a final showdown, that is why it is awesome, not weird tile puzzles, all praise the lego gym. I'm The Joel MH and you wanna know the stinkers don't you, well...

WORST FIRST GYM: VIOLET GYM (GEN 2)- FLYING
WORST SECOND GYM: ETERNA CITY (PLATINUM)- GRASS
WORST THIRD GYM: VERMILLION GYM (GEN 1)- ELECTRIC
WORST FOURTH GYM: COURMALINE GYM (X/Y)- GRASS
WORST FIFTH GYM: FUSCHIA GYM (GEN 1)- POISON
WORST SIXTH GYM: OLIVINE GYM (GEN2)- STEEL
WORST SEVENTH GYM: CINNABAR GYM (GEN 1)- FIRE
WORST EIGHTH GYM: SNOWBELLE GYM (GEN 6)- ICE

There happy now, I'm The Joel MH, signing off!
